What customers say about "Key Specs"
Denon AVR-X6400H
  • Even when listening at higher volumes I don't notice any shrill highs or imbalances in performance. It makes my entire system sound better than ever.
  • Compared to my other 2, even though it has similar power specs, this one is noticeably smaller.
  • 11 channels without the need for external amp. This is huge! Highly recommended!
  • This receiver is a beast! Weighs nearly 35 pounds and takes up a bit of space, which is an indication of robust quality. Amazing sound, amazing design!
  • It runs hot regardless of number of channels used. However the more channels (i.e., speakers) in operation the hotter it gets. This amp could probably get to 150 degrees.
Denon AVR-X6500H Receiver
  • The sound quality is outstanding (once set up correctly, of course), and the receiver itself just feels so well made.
  • The 140w per channel adequately feeds my speakers and the sound is delicious.
  • I love to watch movies and I love to listen to music. So far this receiver does both exceptionally well.
  • Based on the extensive power of the X6500H (175 watts/two channels at 6 ohms), ability to run 11 channels - the receiver seemed like a great buy.
  • Channel separation is much better than other receivers I've owned in the past.

What customers say about "Features"
Denon AVR-X6400H
  • Denon has a mode for Dynamic EQ which allows a rich sound even while listening at low volume so you don't wake up the entire house.
  • The included set up mic took 6 different measurements of the room compared to my old Yamaha which only took one.
  • After initial setup and Audyssey calibration, this reciever produces a very clear and refined sound compared to the Onkyo that it replaced.
  • Now, when playing a Blu-ray or 4k movie with DTS-X or Dolby Atmos encoded sound, you can enjoy the sound as much as you marvel at the image.
  • The only con I have about this receiver is that the remote is not back-lit. But my last one wasn't either so its not really a big deal.
Denon AVR-X6500H Receiver
  • I can adjust the way the sounds work for a gaming system, the dvd player, a cd player and streaming music.
  • It remembers the settings for each device, which I don't think I need to explain how convenient that is.
  • A great aspect of this receiver is it has an amazing adjustable graphic equalizer for those who want to maximize their speakers potential.
  • The remote isn't as solid feeling as I'd like in a receiver that costs this much, but at least it's a universal remote!
  • The remote is actually just fine, but compared to the Yamaha remote, it feels cheap...mostly because the Yamaha remote nothing short of amazing.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Denon AVR-X6400H
  • 7 HDMI inputs is crucial. When you have XBOX One, Wii U, Cable TV, Blu-Ray disk player, CD cassette tray etc.
  • What I have connected to it is my LG B7 OLED & my Audio system is a NHT custom build - 7.1.4 - It's really awesome with my Xbox One X and Windows 10 Ryzen 1800x build.
  • Easy setup. I just replaced my really old Onkyo Receiver and the sound quality increased tremendously. 4K HDMI with my AppleTV 4K works great.
  • I connected the receiver to HDMI port 3 and now all my devices play just fine without any video blanking.
  • The HDMI ports 1 & 2 keep failing. Port 1 is the default flow through port for cable/satellite input, so when it goes down control gets frustrating.
Denon AVR-X6500H Receiver
  • Gold plated connectors, an array of analog and digital inputs and outputs, pre-amp outputs for every channel, quality binding posts for every channel.
  • USB connection on front panel, multi-zone capable, Bluetooth, casting and streaming capable, voice control, among other things.
  • The initial setup wireless was painless with no issues as I connected to my network quickly and easily and updated the receiver as soon as it connected.
  • The USB doesn’t work as smoothly as I would like. I plugged in an I-pod classic and it doesn’t recognize it.
  • I plugged in two different USB thumb drives with my music collection on it and it didn’t recognize that.
