What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX Certified Computer Speaker System
  • For speakers the size of a brick, they generate awesome, even the commercials sound good.
  • Fills a full size room with plenty of sound and deep bass with a nice chest felt punch.
  • These units work great for their size and sound like something a lot larger.
  • These Klipsch are a compact but powerful set of speakers: crisp highs tight bass.
  • The sub is very compact and puts out some serious bass.
Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker System
  • I was surprised by the size and weight. Larger and much more substantial than you normal computer speakers. These are true full range speakers.
  • These speakers have a wonderful heavy weight to them, but are highly portable.
  • The metal construction gave it a very nice feel and had good weight to it as well
  • The quality becomes especially apparent when you feel the weight and heartiness of the build.
  • It was a little bulky to fit in a backpack, but I managed.

What customers say about "Audio"
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX Certified Computer Speaker System
  • The sub produces really nice low frequencies especially when watching movies, and I prefer this sub over the lows at the theaters I have been to, so far.
  • Good lows and mids the high frequencies are decent. Sound and build quality are great for the price.
  • There are actually micro horns in the small speakers that reproduce the high frequencies more accurately than the cheap tweeters in most small speakers.
  • Very wide range on the frequency response.
  • That little noise, not too loud and somewhere in the lower middle register, is the lowest frequency the satellites can handle before the sub kicks in, and the speakers are not designed to play that frequency with much regularity.
Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker System
  • These Bose Companion 20 multimedia speakers are amazing, great quality sound. They are easy to adjust the sound or use ear buds if you need to
  • These really do sound good. I have an apartment so a sub woofer is not really desirable.
  • The sound quality of these small speakers is amazing! I've tested them with different types of music. They're best for rock, jazz, and classical music but I think they have a plenty of bass when playing hiphop/rap music despite a lack of subwoofer.
  • The high end sounds screechy and tinny while the low end keeps overpowering the other frequencies
  • The sound lacks the natural warmth, I can't believe the 5 star reviews for this product!

What customers say about "Features"
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX Certified Computer Speaker System
  • As soon as I powered it on, our living room was filled with vibrant and delicious sound.
  • It's loud, vocals are super clear, the bass is huge and powerful, can rattle the walls.
  • The speakers are heavy, and they are powered adequately.
  • With a little tweaking and a good input these things scream loud and clear for what they are.
  • The primary input cable is hardwired to the speakers, but you can purchase a separate 3.5mm cable if you want to plug a secondary input into the system (next to the headphones out port, labeled with the music note in the picture).
Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker System
  • The control pod is very well made. It has a nice weight to it and a non-skid backing so it stays put.
  • The volume control works very smoothly with a solid feel. I'm especially fond of being able to turn the speakers on and off by just touching the control pod.
  • The input jack allows for quick easy input from other sources (like an ipod)
  • The headphone jack (which automatically cuts out the speakers) makes for quick and easy consideration of folks in the house (and speaker power is great enough that if you want to share with the rest of the house, you can)
  • No wireless remote controller for volume controll
  • The on-off-volume controller is very nice but I wish it was wireless
