Shimano Tranx (TRX400A) LowProfile Baitcasting Fishing Reel
  • Awesome reel. Caught nice sized fish on it. casted clear across the river with little effort.
  • This reel is very smooth with huge line capacity.
  • This light weight reel paired great with my Phoenix rod and is now my surface iron 20-30# set up. Yellow tail killer
  • I currently spool with 30lb braid, but i’ll use 40 when I replace the line. It’ll hold plenty of either, even for the big kings.
  • I have loaded it with Power Pro Super Slick 40 pounds and cast a mile and its operation is very smooth ... Great Shimano !!!
Daiwa Lexa 400 (4014910)
  • I like the large line capacity. I put 50 lb Power Pro Braid with about 200 feet top shot of 30 lb Big Game Trilene.
  • It is available with different handle and gear ratio options. It is well made, easy to use and feels solid.
  • I love the high-capacity it's a little heavy but it handles the larger fish up here in Alaska quite well.
  • Great easy to use reel. No backlashes, heavy or light baits. I now own two after a week casting.
  • I can cast baits as low as 1/2 oz. which is impressive for big reel like this!
