What customers say about "Key Specs"
Penn Slammer III (SLAIII5500) Spinning
  • For the price it cannot be beat. Smooth drag, enormous line capacity, ipx6 rating, and extremely strong and durable. Will last for years.
  • Light, Smooth Drag, Lots of Power for it size, Excellent For Plugging and Surfcasting, Good Looking Reel.
  • Great reel. I been using it as much as possible. Landed some good size stripers with it so far.
  • I had to return this item cause it was`nt the right size. Great reel though.
  • The amount of drag this reel produces is unbelievable, it's so smooth.
Shimano Saragosa SW (SRG5000SW) Offshore Saltwater Spinning Fishing Reel
  • This reel is butter and everything I expect from shimano. I paired it with a travel med hvy tide master and maxcuatro braid. It casts amazingly and retrieves with ease.
  • This reel is really smooth like butter and casts very well. Shimano quality assured.
  • This is a great reel for the price! It is a solid mid level reel, when a 2500 is too small and an 8000 is too heavy.
  • It’s lightweigt and compact but still has good line capacity on braid and can put the breaks on some decent sized fish making aggressive runs.
  • Lightweight. Well built. Good amount of drag. Good line capacity. Smooth reel.

Shimano Saragosa SW (SRG5000SW) Offshore Saltwater Spinning Fishing Reel
  • Although it is not to be considered submersible, I'm sure it will hand above water surface splashing with ease.
  • I have not had the Saragosa 5000 long but it has taken a beating. Sand, accidentally dunked a few times, and lots of drag pulling hookups.
  • I use this reel for one of my jigging setups. It has a very smooth action and feels great. I will be buying more of these reels.
  • It is perfect. Very good price for salt water sealed reel.
  • It performs very well, it's sealed, light weight, extremely smooth drag, I've had no issues with this reel since I got it.
