What customers say about "Blade"
Buck Knives 124 Frontiersman (0124BKSLE-B) Fixed Blade Knife with Leather Sheath
  • The blade is thick up top, but tapers toward the edge nicely to aid in cutting tasks. The spine is quite thick. The fit and finish are excellent.
  • Carried it for 20 years on my web gear while I was in the army. Never let me down. Never chipped a blade. Still cuts like a razor.
  • Blade shape is about perfect and the quality is apparent in every detail.
  • I love the construction of this knife definitely one if not the thickest blade Buck has to offer.
  • My only complaint is the burr on the edge of the blade but I was able to fix that with a little work, less than 10 minutes total.
Buck Knives 119 Special Fixed Blade Knife with Leather Sheath
  • This knife holds an edge, and when it does need sharpening it's the easiest blade I've ever sharpened this size. It makes you love this blade.
  • Out of the box the Buck 119's 420HC BOS steel blade will shave your hairs, it comes razor sharp and well finished.
  • I am not a knife expert, but this blade feels so balanced and the finish quality is out of this world.
  • The blade is super sharp out of the box and it has excellent balance. Nice all around knife.
  • As it is though, the 119 is a handy size with its 6" blade and shorter and narrower handle.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Buck Knives 124 Frontiersman (0124BKSLE-B) Fixed Blade Knife with Leather Sheath
  • It's a nice knife. Big. Thick full tang. The handle is full and the large guard is very nice and comfortable. Weight is shifted back into the handle.
  • The balance, quality, detail, geometry, sharpness, weight, every aspect of it is perfect!
  • This is a big knife, and has some weight to it. Over all I really like it and I would buy it again.
  • It has excellent balance, and feels as solid as any knife I have ever handled.
  • I could see the size and weight of this knife being too much for a smaller person.
Buck Knives 119 Special Fixed Blade Knife with Leather Sheath
  • I like the weight, although perhaps it is slightly grip-heavy. I've used Buck knives for at least 30 years; the quality is still great.
  • The weight and balance are on point, the grip fits my hand, and that cutting edge is phenomenal.
  • Excellent quality, weight and handling and it comes super sharp out of the box.
  • The weight is just about perfect and the edge on it from the factory is surprisingly good.
  • This knife holds an edge, and when it does need sharpening it's the easiest blade I've ever sharpened this size.

What customers say about "Features"
Buck Knives 124 Frontiersman (0124BKSLE-B) Fixed Blade Knife with Leather Sheath
  • The handle is full and the large guard is very nice and comfortable. Weight is shifted back into the handle.
  • The handle is a little blocky but still comfortable and gives a nice sturdy grip.
  • The "corners" of the handle help the user maintain the index of the knife and resist the handle turning or twisting in the hand.
  • The 124 certainly looks like it could handle most situations from prepping wood for a fire or building shelters.
  • The handle is really big, I wear x-large gloves and when gripping this knife theres still room for another whole finger!
Buck Knives 119 Special Fixed Blade Knife with Leather Sheath
  • Typical flawless Buck knife. The first thing that struck me was the beautiful cocobolo wrap around handle.
  • Includes a thick leather sheath that secures the knife perfectly.
  • The sheath is a top quality leather sheath, not some plasticy nylon thing.
  • Over all this is just a great knife and the leather wrap around sheath is great.
  • The smooth black Phenolic handle looks nice, but it can get slippery depending on environmental conditions.
