What customers say about "Key Specs"
Epiphone SHERATON-II PRO Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar
  • I compared this guitar to a lot of other's of the same style and almost bought an Ibanez, but I liked the Sheraton/Gibson classic body shape with the mickey mouse ears better and I could find some to play at Guitar Center, but found none of the Ibanez hollow bodies there to try out.
  • I could easily take a couple of paragraphs to describe this beautiful guitar. Instead, all I will say is that this is something that Gibson has to be proud of.
  • Smooth neck, great action, and sounds warm and rich. Very happy with this guitar!
  • It's just that good. Guitar came pre tweaked so all I had to do was stretch the strings, tune up, plug in, and get it on. I bought it to use as a practice guitar, but this is no practice guitar!
  • This guitar...wow. Wow. wow! This is my first Epiphone. I was actually looking for a Gretsch Electromatic hollow body guitar.
Gibson ES-335 Traditional Semi Hollow Body Electric Guitar
  • Guitar came well packaged and in perfect condition as described. Looks great, sounds great. Thanks!
  • I have not found much this can't do, Les's and strats have their place but this is more of a do all for me. I can go from blues to heavy rock to country with just a quick flip and click.
  • Fit finish, feel, tone, you name it. I really like the coil tap feature; going to single coil from humbucker. Great versatiliy.
  • This guitar is perfect for leading worship music and eliminates the need most of the time to switch to an acoustic guitar because this thing sounds beautiful clean!

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Epiphone SHERATON-II PRO Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar
  • To me it is equivalent or better than the Gibson ES-335 on which the design is based. Epiphone and Gibson have been the same company for decades.
  • his feel and weight of this guitar is perfect for my needs. The neck feels really great to play up and down the the fretboard.
Gibson ES-335 Traditional Semi Hollow Body Electric Guitar
  • The quality on the finish was amazing as well. I feel truly fortunate to have gotten such a great guitar.
  • The neck was way too thin in profile for my liking, although others may find it comfortable.
  • The neck was quite thick, but not necessarily uncomfortable, but I think I prefer a slim taper neck and P 90s for their clarity. I
  • This is one good deal for a 335 style guitar. Body is comfortable with good neck action.

Epiphone SHERATON-II PRO Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar
  • I always loved the sound and feel of my old ES335 (I sold it long ago when money was low), but couldn't afford one now. The Sheraton is a quality made guitar. Very much worth the money.
  • Epiphone really pulls out the stops on the Sheraton, and the attention to detail is top shelf. The action is set low with no buzz anywhere.
  • Sound is excellent as is the fit and finish. The finish is second to none. It's just what I wanted.
  • This is one beautiful guitar! The Wine Red is stunning! The finish and detail is perfect! The Pro-bucker pickups sound great! The overall playability of this guitar seems very nice to me.
  • The deep wine red color combined with the gold hardware and inlay work make this guitar look like it should be worth much, much more.
  • The frets are kind of rough out of the box and need to be polished. A few weeks of string bending will help, but it would be better if they had been polished at the factory.
Gibson ES-335 Traditional Semi Hollow Body Electric Guitar
  • Brilliant finish color, neck profile, fingerboard radius. Playability is excellent .
  • The finish is flawless. Color never seems the same as light hits it from different angles.
  • Top quality workmanship. Seamless construction.
  • The neck mohagany wood grain is just so warm and beautiful. But the amazing this is this baby sounds as great as it looks!

What customers say about "Features"
Epiphone SHERATON-II PRO Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar
  • The sound of the Sheraton has lots of good bass and midrange, but you can still get the glassy highs too. Good versatile tone like the ES335.
  • You might lose a bit of punch when switching to single coil, but that's why G-d invented the volume control. Push pull tabs are crisp, no give or wobble, and are a great added dimension from Sheratons of the past.
  • Tuners are the same, solid, and uniform ( in that the same amount of tuning tweak for each string AND IT STAYS IN TUNE!
  • Love the bridge. After dealing with floating bridges on my other jazz guitars, this one is a no muss no fuss affair. It's not going anywhere and makes tuning and changing strings a breeze.
  • My only complaint on this guitar (and the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5) is that the gold plating on the bridge and tailpiece started to wear off after 3 months of daily playing. The plating is just very thin. I called customer service, and they sent me a free bridge and stop tailpiece.
  • There are no inlays on the fretboard above the 15th fret (Yeah, they are a crutch, but I need them)
Gibson ES-335 Traditional Semi Hollow Body Electric Guitar
  • Still adapting to short scale neck after playing certain California guitars ! Overall it's an excellent deal at street price.
  • Sustaining a single note or a full chord is effortless.
  • Plugged in, the pickups sound great to me as is. I can't see the need to swap them out. Fit, finish way above what I expect in a budget import guitar.
