What customers say about "Key Specs"
Microsoft Surface Pen Platinum Model 1776
  • If I had to pick one niggle about the pen it would be with the tip that comes with it.
  • Tip provided has just the right amount of drag on a glass screen.
  • This pen goes very well with my Surface Pro. It magnetically sticks to the side but be careful as you can accidentally knock it off. It writes well and is pressure sensitive.
  • It feels sturdy in the hand and I feel less inclined to dropping it. I also like the softer tip.
  • The tip on this pen broke within an hour of having it out of the box (my 2 year old 2nd gen pen is still on it's first tip).
Apple Pencil (2nd Generation)
  • The pressure sensitive tip gives you the feeling of working with a real pen or pencil. I would recommend this to anyone with an ipad pro that's doing any kind of drawing.
  • The pressure sensitive tip is holding up to my heavy handedness quite well.
  • It is pressure sensitive and accurate, and has been successfully charging.
  • Also the noise the tip makes on the surface is quite noticeable; I was in a quiet room and got people giving me the look.
  • The tip is not smooth- has a plastic seam or defect. when using on iPad screen, causes light scratches.

What customers say about "Features"
Microsoft Surface Pen Platinum Model 1776
  • Thanks to the programmable eraser button, with one click I can open a OneNote page to quickly jot something down without hunting for pen and paper.
  • The eraser part of the pen is a brilliant design as it makes erasing the errors quick and intuitive.
  • The clicky part of the eraser has the potential for lots of future extendable use like controlling slides.
  • I especially love the eraser on the back. The feature that is really convenient though is the button that acts as a right click, it’s possible to accidentally click but still very easy to use.
  • It fits comfortably in your hand, kind of like some of my favorite pens, just a little wider.
Apple Pencil (2nd Generation)
  • The pencil is easy to use, you just have to clip it on to the iPad's magnetic strip for the pencil, and it automatically syncs to the iPad so you can use it.
  • I use the pencil for drawing in several apps like Clip Studio Paint, ProCreate, and Concepts. Effective and adjustable.
  • This pencil brought a few welcome upgrades, namely the double tap feature on the pencil to switch to eraser.
  • I like it's that it's charging via magnetic attachment to the iPad.
  • There is no tip cover for this model, which is frustrating since you can easily break the tip.
