- if you want two-way communication on a satellite network that covers the entire planet, then the inReach is really the only game in town.
- It has global coverage unlike other consumer level products which is important to me as I use mine far out at sea.
- For true two-way, global coverage I don't think you can beat the inReach/9602/Iridium system on quality and price.
- Unit works well and has good reception.
- Worked well in clear skies, private communication was excellent.

- Gave it to my girlfriend during a kayaking adventure and was able to locate her when she got in trouble and help her out even though she didn't know where she was.
- Last night I crashed pretty badly with my bike in the countryside and was able to get help with a push of a button.
- It trakes 10-minute intervals, and you can send messages (pre-sets you write), or emergency SOS.
- I never leave home without it. It gives my family, friends, and myself peace of mind when I am out in the wilderness.
- Does it send messages out fast? Yes. Usually just a minute or two. Even in a moving boat.

- The maps are of high-quality and are quite detailed for the United States (24k).
- Twice the battery life, doesn't use the GPS in the phone anymore so conserves phone battery also.
- Another nice feature of the inReach is that it communicates with my Android phone, and I am able to download topo maps to my phone.
- You can also get maps covering other regions of the world, but these maps are not nearly as detailed.

- With the 5 minute bread crumb feature, our chase vehicle knew exactly where we were.
- I haven't used the sos feature yet but the other message buttons and the tracking are spot on. hahahaha. good one.
- Are they incredibly accurate in showing my position? Yes. Would it have worked in an emergency at sea. Yes, I feel 100 percent sure it would have.
- The breadcrumb feature is great so you can know how they got there.
- I use my custom message for "departing", and include a bitly link to the map in that message so folks can track my progress.

- I have had no problems with my inReach (Android) and to date, everything about the system has meet my expectations
- It pairs and connects with my Android phone just as it is supposed to. I am able to send text messages even when not in cell phone range.
- The InReach does exactly what it is advertised to do, with the Android phone powered on and paired lets you receive a text message reply!
- Cool stuff, especially if you go solo backpacking and canoe camping like I do - being able to stay in touch and send out an SOS is invaluable.

- After walking 500 miles with it and only changing the batteries once in 33 days I loved it
- Last night I crashed pretty badly with my bike in the countryside and was able to get help with a push of a button.
- Great quality, and long lasting battery life. I hope I never need it, but my spot is always there if I do.
- The Gen3 is a big step up IMHO from the Gen 2. Battery life is much better, signal acquisition is faster, and generally the performance is more reliable.
- Battery lasted eight days of riding. Hoping I never have to use it for an emergency.
