- Very good price, unit works very well no issues. Pretty quick write speeds.
- Great drive, fast read and write speeds. No problems with several weeks of use.
- Make sure you go to the pioneer website and down the driver utility to max out the read/write speed of this 6x drive.
- The external drive has decent write speeds and is more quiet than I would have expected. I am able to rip most Blu-ray movies in under an hour.
- I like this drive overall. It is a good replacement for the Apple superdrive and it actually reads a slightly scratched disk that my wife needs as a key for some software she owns that the Apple superdrive refuses to read.

- Perfect for ripping your library and getting those Blu-rays hidden from view.
- Burn to Blu Ray BD-R works really well.

- In any case, the drive seems to read all the major kinds of disc formats without any issues. It's a great solution to the fact that my computer didn't come with a disc drive.
- It really does it all. It reads, writes, blu rays, dvds and CDs.
- This product allows me to read and write DVD discs with my HP Laptop.
- Mac user. device works great, once I downloaded a compatible software for reading Blu-rays. DVD's are also great to watch using this drive.
- Supports blue ray discs but with additional software which you would have to purchase separately. This is expensive software and not worth the effort.
- Decent enough read / write speeds. A little noisy and just feels cheap.

- Turn on when it's plugged into powered USB block works fine in CD and DVD mode with Apple software.
- I needed to burn some audio CD's and this were perfect for my bit perfect rips.
- Has worked perfectly well for copying CD's onto MAC.
- It works as a DVD player though. A very expensive DVD player.
- Great little product, have used it to watch DVD's but not any blu-rays. Good reading and writing speed.

Pioneer BDR-XD05S Slim External Blu Ray Drive
- The cable has 2 USB plugs. If you have USB3 ports, you can use just the first of the 2 plugs.
- The drive connected well enough on a USB 3 port and extra power on a spare USB2 port.
- It comes with a double USB cable connections - one for power and one for data.
- It just works when you plug it in if you have Windows computer with USB 3.0 ports, or any Mac.
- Requires two USB ports for data and power, which is a bit of downside but could use a powered hub.
