What customers say about "Key Specs"
Swagman XC Cross-Country 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack
  • Bike mounts easily. Solid hold on the bike. Great ride, no sway at the hitch junction. Bike is SECURELY mounted to the carrier.
  • Bikes are held firmly and will travel securely without any bounce at all! Happy camper, highly recommended!
  • To be honest I couldn’t be happier with this purchase and this style of bike rack, it is easy to use, holds the bikes securely, and safely.
  • Very nice sleeve to make rack fit 2" or 1/14" trailer hitch receiver. you do need a trailer hitch on your vehicle to use this rack.
  • I purchased this rack to carry two mountain bikes on the back of my 5th wheel trailer, which includes a 2-inch hitch receiver capable of handling a towed vehicle, so there should be no issues with it being able to handle the bike rack.
Swagman XTC2 Hitch Bike Rack
  • When I get both bikes on, I feel confident they are firmly attached and I don't find myself always looking in the rear view mirror to see if they have been misaligned by the wind and bumps.
  • It literally takes seconds to mount and secure your bike. It was easy to fold the center arm down to access the rear hatch of my Murano.
  • I am very happy with the ease of mounting bikes to it and love that it will fold up for storage or I can fold the main bar down to open my rear gate.
  • It won't quite work with my Jeep's rear-mounted spare tire.
  • The inner bike on the bumper side might require you to position the pedals to not scratch the rear bumper. The fit is secure.

What customers say about "Construction"
Swagman XC Cross-Country 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack
  • Good solid construction. Takes abut 30 min to assemble and install. All materials are solid, no cheap stuff.
  • It's well build and super easy to put together, load the bikes and in and out of the hitch.
  • It is built strong, stable, and built to last. I was surprised when I first received this rack at the sturdiness of it.
  • Very steady. It holds the bike very well. I was a bit worry that it wouldn't hold my two 26" beach cruisers, but it did in a perfect way.
  • The build quality is very good, especially for the price paid. Most everything seems to be powder coated and is somewhat resistant to scratching.
Swagman XTC2 Hitch Bike Rack
  • Built with heavy steel, and is secured with the anti-wobble bolt. Simple design.
  • It's made of very sturdy powder-coated steel.
  • The racketing mechanism works as designed holding the bikes sturdy and easy to reverse the racketing mechanism by simply applying slight top pressure and then squeezing the racketing mechanism trigger.
  • The receiver bar on the XTC2 is S-curved that lifts the carrier above the exhaust pipe vs. a straight bar on the XC. This higher ground clearance also helps with deep road dips and driveways.
  • The issue we have is that it is crooked and we cant adjust anything to straighten it out. It looks to be built and welded crooked.

What customers say about "Features"
Swagman XC Cross-Country 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack
  • Highest quality bike carrier, easy to assemble and install on vehicle, and holds bikes very firmly while traveling.
  • This rack works great, folds down when not using it so you can get into truck bed, does not sway and overall a fantastic buy.
  • The hoop design is the way to go as the weight of the bikes is on the wheels. The upper arm comes down locking the bike and wheels into the hoops. Taking the bikes on and off takes only a moment.
  • The bikes fit snugly & surely once the tire racks were adjusted and the arms locked in place.
  • Folding down the main (center) bike bar (for brackets) was easy to do when bikes were not loaded. Doing so allowed tailgate to be completely folded down for full access to the back of the truck bed.
Swagman XTC2 Hitch Bike Rack
  • Although not a lightweight, I believe it is lighter than most racks of its type. This makes it easier to handle installing and uninstalling for storage.
  • The rack is fairly light and folds up nicely to store, easy to carry.
  • I am able to fold up the arms, remove it from the hitch and it fits easily in the trunk of my Toyota Camry.
  • Folds up into very tiny space when not in use. Does not obstruct view out back window.
  • The only "problems" I have are putting the pins in and out when folding/unfolding the arms.
