What customers say about "Key Specs"
Petzl ACTIK CORE Rechargeable Headlamp
  • The light worked great on my trip, and never had to be recharged or replace with AAA batteries I had along for spare.
  • Awesome little light! The three brightness settings are well spaced apart, quite reading light, I'm looking for my lost potato chip light, or I want to blind the squirrels light.
  • This light is EXCELLENT. It is simple and only has 3 modes but I think that is part of what I love about it.
  • I’m pissed. I do tattoos. This is not enough light to see. And $70. ???! Come on now
  • At first I was a little bit disappointed in the spread or peripheral coverage of the light, and perceived hot spots in the coverage area.
Black Diamond ReVolt Headlamp
  • Even at medium brightness it was sufficiently bright to see the terrain [esp. crevasses] clearly, and the cold temperature at 18000' didn't seem to cause any difficulty. It's amazing how much better this technology has improved in the past decade.
  • In any case, this light is FINE, no complaints. It works better than (and was priced lower than) my previous light it replaces.
  • Used this on my 560 mile section op the Pacific Crest Trail. Worked great, strong light, long lasting battery. A great headlamp.
  • Really like how bright the light is. The cycling through of the different light settings can be confusing but generally I only use the white light.
  • Functions as described. Bright, high quality headlamp

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Petzl ACTIK CORE Rechargeable Headlamp
  • Love, love it. This light is bright and light weight.
  • Comfortable, good light patterns and rechargeable.
  • The headband was easily adjustable, super comfortable, and the headlamp could virtually go unnoticed when wearing a cap.
  • Very strong light and I perfect fit without to much wight. A very good buy.
Black Diamond ReVolt Headlamp
  • It’s also very bright for it’s size and weight and very durable. I use this light in the rain, snow, and sub zero temps and it’s worked flawlessly.
  • Very low profile and light, barely know it's there. It's a good little camp light but that's about it.
  • This is a very sleek light. Feature rich for the price. My only concern is the learning curve on using it.
  • Compact. Good power. Button system confusing.
  • Love it! Lightweight, great light output and dual battery types.

What customers say about "Features"
Petzl ACTIK CORE Rechargeable Headlamp
  • I have yet to try this out properly to see how long the "CORE" lithium battery holds out, but that was the main reason for why I decided to try the "Actik" model.
  • The rechargeable battery is sweet, especially since you can now recharge your light while driving in a car.
  • I like the build , the battery pack has a light on it that lets you know when it's charged , and there's no adapter.
  • I was really looking forward to the rechargeable batterie feature. Unfortunately very disappointed with how quickly it drains.
  • But this rechargeable battery never worked. I have tried regular battery it worked, but even after charging the Petzl battery pack, it did not turn on.
Black Diamond ReVolt Headlamp
  • Get a lot of use as a postal worker and battery life for me is even better than what it says so far. And i love the rechargeable feature of the product super handy dont have to carry around extra batteries.
  • I used this headlamp for a climb of Cayambe (Ecuador), setting it to medium brightness. The climb started at 11pm and I when I turned it off at 7am [8hr], it still had 25% charge. I was using the stock rechargeable batteries.
  • I went a'looking for a rechargeable headlamp because, over time, batteries tend to corrode in these types of units making them unreliable.
  • The rechargeable feature is still handy. The light has a nice "charging" indication, and it done though micro-USB.
  • The headlamp arrived with three rechargeable AAA cell batteries, rebranded to Black Diamond. One of the AAA cells was absolutely stone dead, measuring 0.00 Volts on my digital voltmeter.
