- It worked great for 5 months. It's now dead. The upstream is great, but the downstream is terrible. I should have gotten a geek squad warranty!
ARRIS SB6183 Docsis 3.0 Cable Modem- Retail Packaging- White
- This is one of the few units that TWC supports on 300mbps. Don't be fooled by the other versions saying they will do up to 300mbps, they don't have enough downstream channels and aren't supported at those speeds.
- Definitely faster. I was getting between 30-50mbps downstream and 2-5mbps upstream with the SB6120. With the SB6183, I'm pulling 80mbps downstream and 4-5mbps upstream. Huge improvement.
- I get 300-350 down line of sight or in the next room over on my MacBook Air on the 5ghz AC band of my router.
- Does what it says. Supports TWC and we have 200mbps, and this seems to support all 200+ (it's rated for 300)
- Does get hot though, so plan on leaving it on a desk and not touching you (or anything heat sensitive for that matter)

- Modem works as described. Very easy to set up (coax, ethernet, and power cable).
- I have plugged the modem to a couple of routers. The modem ethernet ports is 1gbps
- I like it a lot. I only wish it had more ethernet ports.
- I haven't had any issues with this modem yet. The only problem with it is that it does not have a port for phone line.
- Wish it had a few more ports on it, some extra USB ports for network attached storage would have been nice

- Easy to hook up to my router. Would have preferred that it had a telephone port in addition to an Ethernet port.
- Bought this modem to replace one that was fried due to a power surge. Love the fact that it has a gigabit port.
- The only downside is not dual ether ports, but otherwise, it’s top of the line modem.
- The only downside was it needs more output ports.
- Works well but could use one with more ports to hardwire more applications

- Set up was simple with no problems. With no change to downstream router or upstream broadband service network speed increased more than fifty percent. No timeouts. So far is impressive.
- The SB6141 is a great modem. It is easy to set up and is built solid. It has light indicators on the front that make it easy to see the status and connection speed ranges upstream and downstream.
- Fast & Furious -- You'd be hard-pressed to find a faster, more stable router on the market. You should have no problem hitting the max speeds as advertised from your provider
- Simple -- Setup is incredibly easy. Just call your service provider after you plug it in and give them the serial number so they can activate it.
- LEDs -- If there's any negative to this modem at all, it's that the LEDs are extremely bright, so just don't plan on keeping it in your bedroom
- No auto-scan for channels

- This is one great cable modem. Having the 16 downstream bonded channels has really sped up my connection with my ISP. Thoroughly happy with this purchase.
- Modem is capable of 16 downstream channels, so I purchased it in anticipation of service being upgraded in future from currently available 8 channels for download.
- On average we have at least 18 devices connected, and sometimes 25!
- Short and sits upright, or upside down. It's a nice little flat rectangle so it's easier to mount/place anywhere. Even on the front.
- It's bright white with very bright front LED display indicators.
- Takes a while to boot up. Like on the order of 15-20 seconds.
- Gets a bit hot during normal use. Needs better thermal design, in a consumer device this shouldn't be an issue
