What customers say about "Key Specs"
TomTom VIA 1505 M GPS Navigation System
  • Extremely accurate, it took us to our selected destinations without exception.
  • Wide screen is huge. the unit is a slick design, with a built in suction cup for the window.
  • This is a good device for the price. large screen. search by points of interest. does everything you would expect a gps device to do.
  • I like the TomTom driving screen a lot better. It has more information on the screen when you are driving, which I liked. Garmin never told me how many total miles I was from my destination, just the miles until the next turn.
  • Touchscreen stopped working after a few weeks (it will sporadically work).
  • Screen controls are slower and more difficult than previous models. TomTom appears to have no interest in actually improving models.
TomTom VIA 1535 TM Bluetooth GPS Navigator
  • I am not certain why, but the picture appears to be more distinct on my 1535 than it is on my XXL.
  • The touch screen responds much better than on my earlier units, though I do wish they hadn't changed to toll road warnings from "Do you want to AVOID toll roads" to "Do you want to INCLUDE toll roads."
  • Easy to use: the menu options are laid out in a vivid format, and completely guide you through the set up.
  • Displays lots of useful info such as distance to destination and current street you are driving on (which Garmin does not show).
  • Screen does tend to wash out in direct sunlight.
  • Accuracy: It's not terrible when it comes to destinations, but there are a few that just don't line up. Like any mapping and GPS, there are bound to be some flukes in the system.

What customers say about "Features"
TomTom VIA 1505 M GPS Navigation System
  • Clear and concise directions, Should you miss a turn the TomTom will give directions to put you back on track.
  • The 5-inch screen is easy to see. One of the features of this GPS that I wanted was Lifetime Maps. I had some difficulty downloading the software for the map updates, but TomTom personnel were helpful.
  • Purchased this one because of lifetime maps. Really like the Advance Lane Guidance feature. All my employees really like them.
  • My favorite feature is how when approaching an exit, GPS will zoom in on the lanes and signs making it extremely difficult to e in the wrong lane or miss the exit. It recalculates quickly and your computer will constantly remind you to update to new maps. Really just an awesome product!
  • Have to use navigation arrows on each screen, can't scroll like a smartphone or iPad (or Garmin, which lets you scroll this way).
  • Manual is lacking in detail, especially for the mounting system (just pull the little clear tab to remove the unit from the dash mount).
TomTom VIA 1535 TM Bluetooth GPS Navigator
  • If you set the speed limit option will beep when you get over speed limit, had to turn off on freeways, but would be good in other areas.
  • Like the lifetime maps and traffic, they will tell you online new downloads but mostly just trying to sell you other features.
  • Like the graphic's, a lot like my old one so familiar. Used it on the center console but the window sticker works good.
  • Had no trouble going online to setup, took some time and a little confusing but not to bad. It worked first time, think you have to set it up first use.
  • While the attached mount was a good idea, it just doesn't have the functionality of a removable one.
  • The voice commands proved to be about useless, it does a poor job of understanding you voice commands. you had to put in street or place you want to go. If you use the POI's it doesn't always have some near you.
