What customers say about "Key Specs"
Garmin nüvi 2757LM Portable Vehicle GPS
  • What a welcomed enhancement the 7" screen was compared to the 4.5" on my previous Garmin.
  • Big Screen, fast acquisition, makes the background and road colors more readable for the Topo maps. The roads on my Zumo 660 did not show up hardly at all because the road color was almost invisible, which made following a back road very difficult. This unit is much better. That IS a plus!
  • The large 7" screen makes it easy to see EVERYTHING. I love being able to read the street signs of all the roads before you get to them. Just as easy to read is the Speed Limit on each and every road; helps to keep my lead foot in check!
  • The screen size and color are the big advantages of this one. If you put it on 0.2 mile scale, it seems to show 2 or 3 times as much area as the 5" screen models. I run this one on 0.3 miles and a 5" model on 800 ft and get great overview and great detail both.
  • The big screen makes easier to look at it when you're driving, and also makes easy to control the gps (if some is using it while you drive). Also, because of the big screen, you can split it to see more information, without loosing your focus on the main route screen.
Garmin nüvi 2797LMT Portable Bluetooth Vehicle GPS
  • The display is easy to read, the features are very useful, satellites are acquired almost instantaneously.
  • The display was always clear and in full color, not affected by the incoming light. The voice commands were clear, precise and always timely.
  • The display is great no eye strain and the blue tooth feature is super. And easy to use.
  • This is one of the best GPS I had. The display is big enough to read, so you don't have to pull your old GPS closer to look at it.
  • This replaced it and I am so glad I went with the large screen. It is easier for me to see without squinting.

What customers say about "Features"
Garmin nüvi 2757LM Portable Vehicle GPS
  • On this model when you approach a highway exit the screen splits and the right hand side shows a pictorial of the exit ramp and the correct sign name - not only cool looking but helpful.
  • With an easy adjustment the maps shows restaurants and gas stations by name brand. Most of the time I don't care for this feature since it clutters up the screen but some will find it very useful.
  • Lifetime maps is a great feature. Hook up the unit to the UBS port on your computer - go the Garmin web site and follow the easy instructions.
  • The "PhotoReal Junction" feature where it split screens and shows a DETAILED still image similar to the sign/surrounding, not just a generic one like other GPS units may have, of the actual exit - THIS IS EXTREMELY HELPFUL and impressive.
  • Lane assist; I like that it tells you which exact lane to stay on and the split view again makes it very helpful.
  • Well, no plug in charger was included - one was included with my old Garmin. At first this disconcerted me but you can charge it via the USB cable (included) so that worked out ok. You can purchase a wall charger if you need one.
  • There is no indication of how many "track" points the unit will hold, but my guess is that it will hold as many points as the units memory will allow - just a guess, because there is no spec on this spec.
Garmin nüvi 2797LMT Portable Bluetooth Vehicle GPS
  • I really like the Phone feature in it. I had gotten use to using the one in my Jeep, but traded my Jeep and my truck does not have the GPS or phone feature.
  • Things I lover are the ability to link my smartphone to the unit via Bluetooth. Makes finding address a breeze. Also having advanced traffic and weather is really great.
  • The unit can link up with your smartphone by Bluetooth and make calls, havent used that feature as of yet. The unit can give you Traffic ahead alerts as well as weather reports.
  • The bluetooth doesn't work very well. Very disappointed about the traffic feature which is the main reason I bought this device, it is unreliable and I still have to use Waze.
  • The voice recognition is a little iffy, but with low ambient noiSe you can get it to work.
