What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Elac Debut DS10.2 200 Watt Powered Subwoofer, Black
  • The compact design allows placement in almost any part of your room.
  • This sub has a nice small footprint blends nicely with my bookshelfs.
  • Very simple to use and tune to your preference and the 10" woofer provides really tight bass in a pretty compact package.
  • Good weight and size that fits any room and will look great.
  • I’ll have to ask friends for help to get it to the place because it is very heavy.
Elac S10EQ Debut Series 400 Watt Powered Subwoofer by Andrew Jones with AutoEQ
  • The big advantage of the S10EQ design that you get a lot of power and volume out of a unit that’s smaller and easier to move around.
  • At 13.5" square it's a good size but not too large. Most importantly the sound is deep, booming, and without distortion.
  • The enclosure is quite small and compact, smaller than my old 10" 150 JBL subwoofer, and by quite a bit.
  • I'm so happy to have a fairly compact sub that produces such a full sound. At 400 watts it's more volume than I'll ever need.
  • This little workhorse is not really so little, it has a surprising hefty weight and after installing it and hearing the big sound, I was a bit afraid to leave in the TV cabinet.

What customers say about "Audio"
Elac Debut DS10.2 200 Watt Powered Subwoofer, Black
  • Realy great sub. Clear bass, clear notes and compliments good any set up.
  • Great sub! You'll hear frequencies you didn't know where there.
  • This subwoofer though falls short of the high expectations I had. I eventually went with the klipsch 100SW which is so much more crisp and hits the low end better.
  • This sub sounds muffled and sounds like a lot of wind being blown at high speed into you floor. Kind of like a quick burst from a high speed vacuum.
  • Also go with the front firing subs, this one is down-firing, not as clean an experience if you ask me.
Elac S10EQ Debut Series 400 Watt Powered Subwoofer by Andrew Jones with AutoEQ
  • A very powerful subwoofer for how light and compact it is, developed by a highly respected audio engineer.
  • The advantage with this design is that, with a lot of power driven in, even a highly compact 10 inch subwoofer like the S10EQ can get very loud, and evenly so across the entire response range.
  • Very powerful subwoofer! I listened to a heavy choral piece I like and it was beautiful.
  • Bass is tight and controlled except for the very low range frequencies.
  • The low frequencies have wavelengths comparable to room size, any subwoofer must be tuned to individual rooms and placement or the room resonances will make them sound terrible.

What customers say about "Features"
Elac Debut DS10.2 200 Watt Powered Subwoofer, Black
  • Simple connection, adjustable volume and frequency, and sturdiness make this ELAC subwoofer stand out compared to others that are priced twice as much.
  • Attractive cabinet with full controls on the back; Auto-On actually works, unlike many lower-end brand subs.
  • It's very sensitive and the auto setting seems to work better than other subs I've had around this price point.
  • Horrible quality. Replacement stopped working after two weeks.
  • Upon receiving the second sub it made popping noises when it would auto turn off.
Elac S10EQ Debut Series 400 Watt Powered Subwoofer by Andrew Jones with AutoEQ
  • The cabinet is a vinyl finish MDF with sheen grill bezel that matches the stands, and it looks quite nice, for those who care about that.
  • There are no rear physical controls – instead you use a mobile app for adjusting the crossover and other such things, which can pair via Bluetooth. And this is awesome.
  • I absolutely love the ability to sit at my desk and mess with the settings on my phone through bluetooth.
  • Very impressed with the sound and power. Love the Bluetooth control via app.
  • The most difficulty I had, was with the ELAC Sub Control app, on a Galaxy S8+. Would lose communication with the sub, when trying to connect.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Elac Debut DS10.2 200 Watt Powered Subwoofer, Black
  • Also you dont have to timbre-match your speakers with your sub, meaning they can be from any make or model.
  • This is an amazing subwoofer. I'm pairing with Debut B5's and the combo is just heavenly.
  • Works great with my receiver. And makes a good impression on me.
  • This sub is very limited in connection, it has only one RCA connector.
  • I could not get it to play, it turned out that the RCA connector was not working properly.
Elac S10EQ Debut Series 400 Watt Powered Subwoofer by Andrew Jones with AutoEQ
  • The Bluetooth connection was instantaneous and worked well.
  • Standard USB port for professional installers works well and there were no complaints about it.
  • LFE input (RCA) shows good performance. Perfect connection with my receiver.
  • It will pair adequately with all but very high end main speakers.
  • Around back, connectivity appears limited compared to other subwoofers. The expected arrangement of dials and flip switches are gone for just a single LFE input (RCA).
