                                    About the Product

The PowerShot G7 X is a premium high-performance camera that puts exciting and impressive capabilities in a sophisticated, compact package. It starts with the sensor: a large and light-grabbing 1.0-inch, 20.2 Megapixel* High-Sensitivity CMOS sensor powered by Canon's latest generation DIGIC 6 Image Processor for beautifully rendered low-light photography up to ISO 12800. The IS lens is a f/1.8 (W)-f/2.8 (T) that puts more in your frame while staying bright to the maximum 4.2x Optical Zoom (24mm-100mm), with a 9-blade circular aperture diaphragm for artistic background blur, and a minimum focus range of just 5cm for precise macro shooting.

First, an F1.8 ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar® T* lens with a wide aperture captures more of the shot. Second, the 20.2 MP Exmor® CMOS sensor captures light with great efficiency. Third, the powerful BIONZ® processor produces smooth detail and exceptionally low noise.

                                       - Focusing is very fast in my use. I feel this is subjective and based on how the user will use it.
- Great low light pictures and videos. Good picture quality.
- Extremely pleased. Image stabilization works great giving sharp bird photos handheld even at max optical+digital zoom.
- The videos are very good to excellent as well, and the optical stabilization is very smooth, I was very impressed but I don't shoot video all that much, so that's just icing on the cake.
- Slow auto focus/slow shutter speed.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 Digital Camera with 3.6x Zoom with SanDisk 32GB Memory Card
                                       - RX100 advantages does have faster auto focus, in superior auto you do not need to physically hit a switch to go in between macro and auto focus.
- Any fast moments, sports, children running, may present an issue, because in my opinion, the focus is a little slow.
- Excellent image quality and solid ISO performance
- he 1-inch CMOS makes the ISO of 800 (or even 1600 sometimes) highly useable; the maximum aperture of 1.8 gives bokeh effects.
- The image quality is very good, but after using it for 1 1/2 years the lens would not retract or close. There seems to be serveral issues like this going on.

                               Canon PowerShot G7 X Digital Camera - Wi-Fi Enabled
                                       - Flipping screen is perfect for selfies and vlogs.
- Touch Screen: I can use the touch screen to focus (changing focus points is wonderful, touch to shoot, make setting adjustments, zoom in during editing. It is like shooting a combination smart phone/slr style.
- Flip out Screen is more useful than I though, making it easier to shoot at creating angles
- Touchscreen was another bonus which was more useful than i'd anticipated.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 Digital Camera with 3.6x Zoom with SanDisk 32GB Memory Card
                                       - All I needed was a screen to flip up while I vlog. But thats alright. It takes great pics of all my food(I am a vegan food blogger)
- There isn't any big reason to go for the RX100 II or III, unless you want a tilting screen, wifi, or built-in EVF. The RX100 I is still capable.
- The lcd screen has a dark blue or black coating that starts to peel after a while and some of the buttons lay to flush against the body making them hard to press.
- The screen does scratch easily, buy a protector sheet. It is very expensive, as much as a DSLR body really. I
- Screen hard to see in direct sunshine, despite WhiteMagic technology

                               Canon PowerShot G7 X Digital Camera - Wi-Fi Enabled
                                       - Manual Controls: I like the ability to use the Front ring, the exposure dial, the back dial, 2 custom buttons and the touch screen to make adjustments. With a few different options available messing around and finding the one that works best for me is great.
- Customizable menu and user interface. I actually like that I can hide all the features I don't need/use and streamline my menu to be able to make changes to the things I need faster.
- Absolutely love this camera. Stability, sound, visual clarity are so good! Fits in a pocket, and ready to go.
- The movie mode is excellent, especially using the touch screen to move the focus point while recording the movie is a great tool for creative recordings.
- Battery dies out after an hour of use.
- Comes with only wrist strap. Would be nice to have neck strap. I've searched online, but don't see any such accessories.
- Battery life is short. I don't have shot numbers as I have been playing around with settings and wifi. Actual use will vary and to follow.

                                       - Enough features to do more than just point and shoot althouh it does a good job at that. More current models have a bit more but at a higher price.
- This is a great compact camera that comes with professional features and manual controls to take high-quality pictures and videos.
- The features available for users to customize their shooting experience are fantastic and the quality of the photos taken are unsurpassed.
- Still have not used all the modes of shooting but on auto its great
- Camera overheats quickly in video mode within 4 mins to 30 mins. I would recommend this but just be aware of the overheat issue with the camera.

                               Canon PowerShot G7 X Digital Camera - Wi-Fi Enabled
                                       - Wifi-enabled, so you can send photos to your phone right after you shoot them. You don't need to use your mobile data either!
- Wifi: Great to have it to transfer images to my phone to post to social media instantly.
- Another great feature, which is a given in smartphones is WiFi transfer
- Unfortunately, the camera does not support my Windows Phone, which is a shame, because I am not going to switch to Android or iOS because of it.
- The wifi button is too easy to press even though it is recessed. So when putting the camera in my pocket or in a nifty case I have, it is too easy to accidentally turn on the camera by pressing the recessed wifi button.

                                       - It even has a little icon showing you the status the Eyefi car, if it is uploading or connected to a hotspot of not.
- Amazing quality. Just wish I had opted for the slightly higher model that had wifi, so I could connect to my smartphone.
- I wish I had the WiFi connectivity for a remote shutter which you can used via an iPhone.
- It is missing the wireless connectivity but you can use the eye-fi sd card like I do and no issues so far.
