What customers say about "Key Specs"
Yamaha P105 Digital Piano
  • The main reason I bought this was to begin the transition from studying piano on a synth keyboard (Yamaha MM6, typical light synth action) to studying on a weighted keyboard that simulates a real piano. This most certainly simulates a real piano. It does, however, have limitations.
  • As such a real piano or a weighted key unit is essential in training young people. Coming off a non weighted 66 key the 105 is magical. My son is about 8 months in and loves it.
  • This digital piano comes as close as I can imagine to the "real thing," both in its sound and the feel of the keys. I'm very pleased, except that I need to find the perfect stand for it.
  • Good workhorse piano with all 88 keys, weighted keys, good sound -- and connectivity when you're ready to hook it up to a computer or other equipment to record your stuff or push the envelope.
  • The keys feel great under your fingers and plays very similar to a upright piano.
Yamaha P115 88-Key Weighted Action Digital Piano
  • I bought this with hesitation because I wasn't sure if I needed a full keyboard at first but now I'm very happy I did because while it is more expensive than getting a keyboard with fewer keys I won't have to buy another piano later on when I want to expand the music I play.
  • I love the weighted keys, it is very similar to playing an actual piano
  • The keyboard is just like a grand piano without the bulk. Sounds beautiful and invades minimum space.
  • Excellence sound and versatility. Great feel and response.
  • I love the tone this has. It is most like having a piano in the house without taking up space. Love using ear buds to play at any time I choose.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Yamaha P105 Digital Piano
  • My 9 year old granddaughter started music lessons. She is very talented and and loves taking the lessons. She had a small key board - not full piano sized, no weighted keys, no pedal. Now, she has it all.
  • Overall, I am happy with it and nice to have a full sized weighted keyboard with USB / Midi out. Note it is only 25 pounds.
  • Not a lot of fancy extras--14 digital sounds, limited rhythms--it's just what I needed in full-size digital keyboard.
  • I love this piano! It has a great sound! It is easy to play. I could not have found a better sounding portable keyboard for the price.
  • I got this digital piano because I needed something with 88 keys and that was also portable. This piano met those requirements and I've been pleased with it so far.
Yamaha P115 88-Key Weighted Action Digital Piano
  • It's a great keyboard for practice or even portable enough to take to some local gigs.
  • The sound and portability of the keyboard are also huge selling points for me. I would recommend it to anyone of any level!
  • It's a great size, and while heavy, fits on a lightweight X-stand well.
  • I wanted a digital piano because of its small size, the ability to control volume or play with headphones, and the midi connectivity.
  • It's sturdy and feels solid. Mostly plastic. Full size keyboard. Once you have it in a good stand it feels even better.

What customers say about "Features"
Yamaha P105 Digital Piano
  • It's pedal has an opposite polarity effect. It can (when pressed down) either sustain your notes, or damper them. It depends on if you have the pedal pressed down when you turn it on. It can be tiresome, but easily remediable with a new pedal (or pedal set).
  • The digital sound effects are a nice addition and the quality is great. It does have weighted keys, which is also a great feature. It comes with one pedal which is also a nice addition.
  • One added bonus is that this thing is a dream to record with----ever try mic-ing an acoustic.
  • We also love the record button, and equally love that the "voice" range is limited...it helps tamp down distractions.
  • I wish the storage capacity of recordings was greater
Yamaha P115 88-Key Weighted Action Digital Piano
  • Now that my daughters are taking guitar, drums, and piano I am super appreciative of this feature. You can also change it to drum rhythm which is more fun than the metronome sound.
  • The recording feature is very limited, but is occasionally useful for getting something down quick.
  • Built in speakers are nice as well. Great performance/travel instrument or home instrument.
  • The built in speakers aren’t half bad. I am OCD about speakers and amps, but happy that they do just fine. Less space and easier setup this way for bedroom practicing.
  • Digital Keyboard Controller App is only available in IOS. To use all of the features on the system, the app is pretty much the only feasible way to adjust the settings. I run android and am out of luck, or have to buy an iPad... aarg.
