Greater Lift, Wider Application

As it's not exactly the cheapest tool, a transmission jack is the one we expect to apply for many years. Hence, it should be durable, safe, maneuverable, and easy to use. That all applies to the Goplus 11AA. Made of premium grade steel and high-quality iron, it will support up to 1500 lbs, which means it can hoist not only transmissions of automobiles but smaller trucks as well. This expands its range of use and makes it a more valuable tool.

The second mentioned virtue, safety, is ensured by a wide base, designed for balance and stability with 31'' chains to secure the transmission on the saddle. That should be more than enough to keep things steady while you work.

Meanwhile, the easy mobility and high maneuverability are made possible thanks to the 4-leg base with 4 heavy duty swivel wheels.

This jack features a foot pump, so you will have both hands free to position and align the transmission. Moreover, a steering handle that is placed in the middle of the jack offers comfortable load transportation. And the telescopic design provides a surprisingly high lift range from 34 to 70" making it suitable for engine repair and maintenance in your personal garage or shop.

The powerful multi-task Goplus 2 stage transmission jack will meet your expectations by offering a durable, reliable, and movable lifting system essential for a vast range of service jobs.

Wide and Reliable Stance

While similar to other models in this review, there are a couple of things that make the Torin TR4076 a better option than most of its counterparts. The part that we liked most is a wide stance. It may be just an inch broader but that inch can make a hell of a difference, especially when it comes to providing extra stability under load.

But, as it is with most transmission jacks, it is the construction that is the most important aspect of the tool. And the construction here is quite solid. The aforementioned wide stance rests on a reinforced base. The model features a built-in safety overload system, a familiar to most mechanics structure that prevents use beyond the rated capacity.

With all that in mind, the most defining characteristic of this instrument is probably its versatility. The saddle will let you utilize full side to side and front and back adjustment. The head is also adjustable, enabling you to tilt it forward, back, or side to side. And, not unlike most of these tools, the model comes equipped with a 360-degree rotating handle. It is one of the more common parts of these jacks as it allows for better load positioning.

All in all, the Torin TR4076 is a capable and reliable tool. Its lifting capacity and rugged construction make it equally suitable for everyday garage service and some of the more heavy-duty industrial use. The steel casters are more durable than most.

Transforms Easily

This heavy-duty low-lift transmission jack is designed for work while the vehicle itself is on jack stands. It features an adjustable tilt saddle for easy mounting in any position and solid steel construction, very sturdy and safe when used. Its largest weight capacity is up to 1000 lbs, nothing outstanding but enough for comfortable operation. Meanwhile, the hydraulic steel cylinder unit results in lower oil pressure required to raise the load, which helps to reduce wear and extend service life.

The core distinguisher of this model is its multiple modes, a great value for the professional and do-it-yourself mechanics who prefer securing and anticipating various repair or maintenance issues. Thanks to its low profile and a minimum lift height of 8.5", the Goplus model can be easily converted into a floor jack. Thus, you can turn a relatively small area into a fully-functioning workspace at any time. You can then carry out extensive repairs to your vehicle, with the help of jack stands of course. Apart from that, floor jacks stand out as one of the most stable and perhaps the safest.

If you want to obtain two units in one, this Goplus jack is a great choice. You will cover all the repair and maintenance needs dealing with automobile transmissions, different gears, and rear axle assemblies without having to buy multiple tools.

Safety, Durability, and Affordability

The maximum lifting capacity of the Torin TRA4053 is 1000 pounds. Considering the fact that this model is designed for removing transmission gears and component parts of vehicles, this is more than enough for the task. The lifting range is from 49.6 to 68.7 inches so you can get it pretty high and make repairs from underneath. This transmission jack is powerful enough to lift light cars and small trucks.

The Torin TRA4053 is a hydraulic transmission jack that has a base with swivels and legs for precise alignment, while the adjustable valve ensures careful lowering and raising of the car part. It features a fully adjustable/sliding saddle and can be moved by a single mechanic. Its heavy-duty construction means it’s tough enough to handle the workload of busy shop environments. All of the above makes it a great pick if you're swamped and want to do work quickly and efficiently.

The crucial dimension to be considered while selecting a tool of such kind is the diameter of the base. Here it's at 40 by 40 inches, ensuring perfect stability under any load. No worries about the tool shaking or sliding out while you work.

This model offers an ideal blend of over-engineered safety, durability and affordability, as such it is the best transmission jack for those who like to keep things extra safe and don't mind paying more for that reassurance.

Low Clearance Isn't an Issue

The JEGS 79012 may not look the part but it is actually one of the most convenient and practical jacks we've seen in a while. The model comes equipped with an ergonomic handle that noticeably simplifies the tool's operation. And, as per usual, that pump handle rotates 360 degrees, so the said operation will be possible from any angle or direction.

We also liked the adjustable load support and the convenience of the release valve knob. Using the latter, you will be able to slowly lower the load. Having extra control over the process will allow you to handle some of the more demanding and delicate tasks.

Of course, the transmission jack isn't devoid of the usual features either. The standard set of swivel casters will allow you to easily maneuver around the garage. The usual safety overload system works just like the rest of them by preventing you from using the tool beyond its capacity.

The design of the saddle is also similar to most of these jacks. It will let you make adjustments in every direction, which is important if you tend (or intend) to work with different types of vehicles.

In conclusion, the JEGS 79012 will prove to be a good addition to your car maintenance tools collection. It is one of the most practical instruments and its construction will allow you to work with those cars that have the least amount of ground clearance.

What Is a Transmission Jack?

The transmission is an integral but also extremely heavy part of a vehicle’s engineering. Whether you are working on a car, a truck, or a motorcycle, if you plan on doing any maintenance on that part, using a transmission jack is recommended. Normally, they are made of heavy-duty steel with swivel casters for greater mobility. The saddle tilts for easy positioning of the transmission during repair or maintenance. Thus, you'll have an easier time maneuvering the car part and working on it.

A transmission jack is used both by amateurs and professionals for installation or replacement of transmissions on various vehicle types. While choosing one, you should consider the load you plan to lift as well as the inbuilt safety mechanisms including stability and maneuvering options.

For non-professionals, one specific type of jack is sufficient, if you work in a professional garage or workshop, it's better to choose a jack that offers a wider range of applications. As these jacks are expensive, you must also consider its durability for the volume of work expected.
