This is a great product. It has amazing speeds and is perfect for gaming or multiple devices on the network.
Followed the very simple setup instructions and had the new wireless networks up and running with no problems. Speed and range were as advertised. One of the easiest wireless networks I have ever set up.
This router is EXTREMELY fast downloading and uploading files through Internet and network. Handles multiple wifi devices with ease!!! A must get!!
I had way too many devices on my network for the router I was previously using but this asus handles the workload and then some beautifully.
The router covered the entire house and yard from the basement, that lasted about two weeks before it started not broadcasting both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. Returned it and tried a different router.
Was easy to setup and great signal strength thru-out entire house (3700 sq ft) but even though the signal strength was great the WiFi constantly dropped out on many of my devices.

It was easy to install. I get great signal all over the house even in the backyard at a great speed. The router does everything I expected and more.
Totally easy to setup. Good range. It does cover the entire house wirelessly however not at the higher speeds at the farthest distances. Like most other routers it has the 2.4G and the 5G bands with the 5 band being faster with less distance and the 2.4 band having longer distance and less speed.
This router is fantastic. I dont have any dead spots in my house and the speeds are great. I have 1 gig fios line and I get 800 mbs on wifi.
This is a great product. It has amazing speeds and is perfect for gaming or multiple devices on the network.
Based on several months of usage at the time of this review, it certainly has. I routinely get speeds faster than Comcast claims I should (based on my plan) and the connection is strong and reliable, even from three floors up in my house.

I bought two of these to build a mesh network in my house. Two of these and a ASUS RT-AC88U have made a poweful single WIFI network that will handle anything I throw at it.
This router is just what I needed to get my network the boost that it needed. No more buffering while watching Netflix or Hulu.
Asus router is easy to setup via cat5 cable or Asus app. Expandable with additional Asus routers in an Aimesh network.
This allows me to control my entire network and attach additional USB drives. Plus the app control is just awesome.
If you have a Mac and expect to print to a networked printer (LAN or WiFi) do not buy this router.
At first everything worked well then the days went by and the regular network started being slow and the 5g works well.

ASUS RT-AC3100 Wireless Gigabit Router

Easy to set up. Creates two net works - a regular one with more range and a 5g one with "less interference." I live in a 3400 sq feet house and it works corner to corner on the regular range one.
Fast and reliable coverage in a 3200 Sq foot home.
I love this wifi so far ,speed is great feels like I am connected to the wire anywhere I am in the house it's that good.
This router cover my home completely ( 1790 sqft ). I have 100Mbps internet and this router delivers this through WiFi and hard wire.
I was able to transfer 10GB of pics/videos to a wired machine from a laptop over WiFi in less than 4 minutes. Drastic improvement over my previous router.

If you care about security, I would highly recommend Asus, Apple, or Ubiquity access point since they constantly update their firmware with new features and update their security constantly.
Powerful router with great range for my two story house. Very easy to set up with nice security features.
This new router has allowed us to add security, enhance our wireless throughout our home and allowed us to set parameters depending on who connects to what.
For those who are IT network engineers, this is the router for you. It is loaded with features to provide what power users need for a secure home network and the connection to their work.
Easy setup, detailed controls available online, beam forming allows for large bandwidth items to take priority, excellent security options.

This router handles the large variety of data traffic with no problems. And has protected my home network from attack by hack bots. It has a good user interface and parental controls.
