I'm a bigger guy and the shock absorbing deck is excellent!! Assembling it was cake. My wife and I knocked it out in no time.
The treadmill itself works great. The speed and incline controls are easy to use and the motor feels really powerful.

As far as working as a treadmill, it works just fine. I goes when you press run and stops when you press stop.
Soft landing, and quick set buttons are easy to set incline and speeds.
Without even reading the instructions for use, it was easy to figure out how to start it, increase speed, decrease speed, adjust incline and stop the treadmill.
15% incline did not maintain its speed. I put it on 1mph, and suddenly I was sprinting. Same for any other speed on any other incline.
It does take a long time to assemble. Be prepared. Worse than IKEA stuff!

This treadmill provides a nice amount of grip and has adjustable cushioning.
FlexSelect cushioning is an on/off feature. Turn the cushioning on to get excellent joint protection. Turn it off to simulate outdoor conditions.
Really sturdy treadmill. I can run and it doesn’t shake or make a lot of noice.
I can't use my tablet computer with my workout because the tablet computer holder isn’t at eye level.
Motor is already having issues after one year of normal use.

Very quiet motor operation so i can watch TV or different videos from YouTube when i run on it.
I really like the treadmill. I especially like that the cushioning while you are running is excellent.
We've been using the treadmill for a week and it works smoothly. It's a pretty quiet treadmill - but if you're running on it you'll probably hear the thump of feet quite loudly.
Cushioning anti-shock technology significantly minimizes the injury and stress risk to your body.
After the 3rd month the motor started to make a clicking sound much like a deck of card pined to the back of a bicycle wheel, the higher the speed the louder it clicked.

NordicTrack C 990 Treadmill

The NordicTrack C 990 has a diverse array of 32 workout applications. You can work on speed, endurance, and weight loss goals with programs that are customized to your fitness level.
The C 990 includes an InterMix Acoustics sound system with 3″ speakers. A smartphone-compatible music port lets you stream MP3s directly through the treadmill’s console.
This doesn't even have onboard basic training like hill training, interval training etc. There is only one manual mode where you can decide everything like pace, incline.
The treadmill is unusable if the computer malfunctions.
Fan is noisy. Would be nicer if you could aim the fan or turn off it.

ProForm Power 995i (PFTL99715) Exercise Treadmill

The 30 preset workouts give you the opportunity to change up your workout every day of the month.
I have used an audio cable to run the sound from my tv through the treadmill speakers and that work great.
The speakers are loud enough to easily drown out the sound of the motor.
There are many programs, but you don't have instructions and you have no idea how to use and what they do.
The darn fan is loud! I use a stand fan when I want to watch TV.
IFIT does not work. This was a huge disappointment for me, I wanted sync with my ipad and use ifit.
