What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Yamaha NS-SW200PN 28-200 Hz 130W Powered Subwoofer
  • NS-SW200 is a very chic, small in size but hi-tech engineered subwoofer that can easily out perform the bulky & pricey rivals.
  • Smaller subs such as this Yamaha are ideal for add bass and depth to your Hi-Fi, which is what I bought it for.
  • The perfect sound for such a compact subwoofer. I am very happy with the purchase.
  • It is small but heavy enough to carry it alone.
  • It is inconvenient to carry it because of weight because you can damage your back. The first time you need to decide where he will be located.
Yamaha NS-SW300PN 20-160 Hz 250W Powered Subwoofer
  • Size and power is amazing, yamaha makes some of the best speakers and this one is no different.
  • Because of its weight, it no longer vibrates the floor like my previous sub did.
  • One awesome sub! I was surprised with its size and weight, but it was a pleasant surprise as this thing pumps out the bass at crazy levels.
  • It is a bit too big for my taste in terms of weight and size, but sound is good.
  • There is a drawback it's the size. This beast is HUGE so make sure you check the dimensions carefully.

What customers say about "Audio"
Yamaha NS-SW200PN 28-200 Hz 130W Powered Subwoofer
  • Fairly good power and volume for it's size but sound quality is poor. At best it's like the bass is in another room wrapped in several moving blankets.
  • It works well, and adds a lot of bottom end tothe system without being overpowering.
  • I could say the sound of my home teather has improved at least 5 to 6 times, you can hear clear and crisp the bass down to very low frequencies (28Hz).
  • If you want to use this only for music i strongly recommend it too, although I use it for both music and movies. This baby can make your windows shake.
  • After a while, an unpleasant sound appeared at low and high frequencies, which is very annoying.
Yamaha NS-SW300PN 20-160 Hz 250W Powered Subwoofer
  • The sound quality is just phenomenal compared to my previous subwoofer. This just blends in so nicely with my entire system.
  • Rap songs with deep bass sound so deeper and warm than ever before.
  • This sounds amazing, the bass is smooth with transitions in music and movies.
  • Much better than the Polk it replaced due to frequent intermittent loud crackling sounds.
  • You won’t need anything else, this unit is incredibly powerful, the sound is amazing.

What customers say about "Features"
Yamaha NS-SW200PN 28-200 Hz 130W Powered Subwoofer
  • Yamaha Audio has always impressed my expectations. Owned cd player, A/V receiver and now sub-woofer. Strong for only being 8 inches for smaller rooms.
  • The quality of materials and engineering that Yamaha put on this little guy is simply amazing.
  • I compared this one side by side with another brand 10inches speaker about the same price range, mine is clearly the winner, powerull with deep bass and clear sound.
  • The new PWM digital amp and Advance YST II servo creates beautiful & deepest bass with a smoothness (even in very low volumes) that I can not describe in words.
  • Twisted Flare port is another quantum leap. This port manipulates the air going in/out so that the sub should be silent while breathing heavily.
  • The only thing I don't like too much is that the standby mode with auto power off requires a certain level of power to keep it working, otherwise the speaker will shutdown automatically.
Yamaha NS-SW300PN 20-160 Hz 250W Powered Subwoofer
  • The high cut frequency dial is important. Since I have mine connected via LFE it will not use it and instead go by what you have the cut off frequencies set on your receiver.
  • It has adjustible frequency so you can introduce some mid-range if needed. Awesome for movies when connected to our entertainment system.
  • The switch on the back to select for movies/music actually made a noticable difference.
  • Easy to reach volume control on the front instead of the rear (as on the Polk).
  • I don't like that it has two bass modes. One for movie and for music.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Yamaha NS-SW200PN 28-200 Hz 130W Powered Subwoofer
  • Very nice SW, works well with other Yamaha items as well!
  • Set up was very easy and I must admit it is way superior to the outgoing Tannoy subwoofer.
  • The subwoofer connects perfectly to my receiver and shows excellent performance.
  • There is something wrong with the connectors because the sound constantly disappears after 10 seconds of playing the song.
  • I do not like that the connectors are too close to each other. Because of this, wires can begin to get confused.
Yamaha NS-SW300PN 20-160 Hz 250W Powered Subwoofer
  • Awesome for movies when connected to our entertainment system. Flip it over to internet radio or simply FM channels and rumble the house with some music.
  • Have this Sub-Woofer is connected to an RX-A1050 Yamaha amp, NS-777 speakers and NS-C444 center speaker. Bass is incredible in quality even with not opening A1050's extra bass feature.
  • Unpack the unit, connect to receiver, plug it in, turn volume knob to 4. Place Lord of the Rings in the blu ray player. You will now be BLOWN AWAY...oooooooh yeah baby!
  • It's easy to connect, even with an amplifier/receiver that doesn't have a subwoofer output due to the speaker pass-through feature.
  • I had fairly high expectations for this thing and it beat all of them, the only down side is this didn’t come with the cord to plug it into my Yamaha receiver to join the rest of my surround sound system.
